Nursery & Garden Center Manager Location:

Fort Myers, FL We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Nursery & Garden Center Manager to lead the daily operations of our growing retail and wholesale nursery. This is not a desk job. Responsibilities Manage all daily nursery and garden center operations. Lead, train, motivate, and supervise the nursery team. Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers with plant selection and plant care. Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked, and attractive nursery. Monitor plant quality, irrigation, fertilization, pruning, and overall nursery health. Oversee purchasing, receiving, pricing, merchandising, labeling, and inventory control. Utilize POS (Point of Sale) and inventory management systems. Monitor daily sales, revenue, labor hours, inventory, gross margins, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. Work closely with our landscape installation and maintenance divisions to coordinate plant material. Identify opportunities to increase sales, improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize profitability. Ensure the nursery consistently delivers an exceptional customer experience. Qualifications Excellent knowledge of trees, palms, shrubs, tropical plants, annuals, perennials, and Florida-Friendly landscaping suitable for Southwest Florida. Previous nursery, garden center, or landscape management experience preferred. Strong retail sales and customer service skills. Experience with POS systems and inventory management software. Strong understanding of inventory control, purchasing, merchandising, and retail operations. Experience monitoring daily revenue, labor hours, inventory, profitability, and KPIs. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Honest, dependable, punctual, and trustworthy. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and solve problems. Comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Valid driver's license.
