Working under the supervision of the Self Sufficiency Program Manager and in partnership with local parks and municipalities, the Park Steward performs routine park maintenance, supports the cleanliness and safety of public spaces, and actively participates in job readiness training, case management, and career development activities. Essential Job Duties Perform routine maintenance and beautification of parks, trails, playgrounds, and other public spaces. Pick up litter and debris to maintain clean and welcoming park environments. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed. Assist with landscaping tasks, including weeding, planting, mulching, pruning, watering, and seasonal cleanup. Help maintain walking paths, picnic areas, parking lots, and recreational facilities. Report safety hazards, vandalism, homelessness, damaged equipment, or maintenance concerns to supervisors. Properly use, clean, and store assigned tools and equipment. Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Report to assigned work locations on time and prepared for work each day. Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and respectful communication with supervisors, coworkers, and members of the public. Accept coaching and feedback to improve job performance and workplace skills. Participate in required job readiness workshops, life skills training, and employment coaching. Complete assigned certification or workforce training programs as part of the transitional employment program. Meet regularly with the Self Sufficiency Program Manager to review employment goals, progress, and support needs. Maintain satisfactory attendance and actively work toward achieving individualized employment and self-sufficiency goals. Represent the program in a positive and professional manner while working in the community. Perform other related duties as assigned to support park operations and individual employment development.

Pay:
