Bear Lake State Park is searching for a dedicated and hands-on individual to become an integral part of our team as a Park Ranger with a primary focus on maintenance, complemented by other essential ranger duties, including code enforcement. As a Park Ranger at Bear Lake State Park, you'll have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in preserving the natural beauty and captivating environment of this unique park located in the southeastern corner of Idaho near the Cache Mountain range. Bear Lake State Park is a popular destination for water lovers, welcoming approximately 15,000 campers annually. With its intense, turquoise-colored water, often referred to as the "Caribbean of the Rockies," and a vast swimming area in the summer, it's a water lover's paradise. In the winter, the park offers the unique experience of ice fishing for the Bonneville cisco, a fish found nowhere else on earth. In this dynamic role, you will primarily focus on essential maintenance tasks, ensuring that this natural wonder remains pristine and accessible to all who seek the great outdoors. In addition to maintenance, you will also be responsible for various ranger duties, including code enforcement, to ensure the safety and enjoyment of park visitors.
