09/14/2026 The Park Attendant performs routine custodial and grounds maintenance at parks and facilities, cleaning restrooms and shelters, opening and closing parks, patrolling and securing facilities, and reporting repairs needed for playground and picnic equipment. Takes charge of checking reservations for ball fields and shelters on evenings and weekends. May help with concessions, scorekeeping, crowd control, special events, or other departmental activities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Minimum age of 18 Valid NC driver's license or valid out-of-state driver's license with the ability to obtain a valid NC driver's license within sixty days of employment and good driving record Empty heading Schedule Works every other Saturday and Sunday from 8am to park close , and possibly Friday evenings. Works some holidays when the city is closed. May also be asked to fill in for other shifts on weekday evenings and weekend days as needed. 20-25 hours every 2 weeks.
