Job Description

Brown County is seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team at the Adventure Park, located at the NEW Zoo in Suamico, WI. The Adventure Park features exciting attractions such as a ropes challenge course, dual racing 1,000-foot zip lines, a 32-foot climbing wall, a kids' course, and The Neil Anderson Canopy Tour. As a Guide, you will be responsible for delivering a fun, safe, and educational experience for visitors, ensuring their adventure is memorable from start to finish. Your duties will include providing exceptional customer service, selling tickets, equipment rentals, and vending items, as well as guiding guests through their experiences. Bring your passion for adventure, teamwork, and fun to work with us! Hours available for the fall season! Ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors at all times, prioritizing safety above all else. Provides exceptional customer service to visitors, both in-person and over the phone. Sells admissions, concessions, and merchandise. Handles cash transactions and performs basic math. Facilitates equipment rentals for guests. Sets up and takes down course equipment. Assists with grounds maintenance and cleaning as needed. Maintains quality working relationships with co-workers and visitors. Completes required records and reports as directed by a supervisor. Must be 16 years of age or older. Must be 18 years of age or older to independently operate Adventure Park activities (ropes challenge course, dual racing 1,000-foot zip lines). Able to complete required training and receive Level 1 Site-Specific Certification sponsored by Brown County. Our park adheres to all ACCT training and safety standards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Capable of working in adverse outdoor conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to remain active for an entire 8-hour shift.
HOURS:
Adventure Guides should expect to work various shifts as needed, including nights, holidays, and weekends. Energetic, enthusiastic, and a positive attitude. Ability to wear a full-body harness and work in an active, outdoor environment. Ability to learn and apply technical skills relevant to the park's activities. Professional demeanor and behavior at all times. Comfortable handling cash and performing basic math. Outgoing, friendly, and able to converse with visitors from all backgrounds. Ability to work the required hours of the position.
