Role Description The Field Technician role at Orkin in San Jose, CA is a full-time, on-site position responsible for delivering pest control services to customers in residential and commercial settings. Day-to-day activities include inspecting properties for pest activity, identifying pest types and conditions that contribute to infestations, and applying appropriate treatments in accordance with company protocols and safety standards. The Field Technician will communicate clearly with customers, explain service recommendations, and provide ongoing follow-up to ensure effective pest management. The role also involves maintaining service records, operating company vehicles safely, and adhering to all regulatory, environmental, and health and safety requirements. Technicians work both indoors and outdoors and may perform duties in various weather conditions. Qualifications Ability to perform thorough property inspections, identify pest issues, and follow structured service procedures safely and accurately. Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and the ability to explain technical information in an understandable way. Capacity to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and complete scheduled routes and documentation with attention to detail.
