A Branch Lead will be geared towards helping the branch manager in the morning effectively handle all the tech and branch needs, helping the manager in the afternoon prepare for the next day, being the primary trainer for new hires in each branch, they will be the primary quality assurance/quality control person in each branch and will be responsible for running the branch when the manager is off. In addition, a branch manager should assign an area of the branch as the Branch Lead's responsibility such as the chemical cage or truck cleanliness. This person will also perform field audits and some tech ride- a-longs but the branch manager should still assist with the ride-a-longs. This person may also need to perform in specialty or emergency services and/or estimates for new services/customers. The Branch Lead will need to be "blocked off" when the manager is on PTO to manage the branch. So, what does a Branch Lead Need to Know? Anything that requires action should the branch manager be off. Also, a Branch Lead must be versed in all procedures so they can train new hires. How to document all treatments legally and per SOP's. Company accident protocols. How to perform an equipment check on a company vehicle. Any alarm codes/access for the office. A key for the office and/or chemical room. How to fill out chemical sign out sheet. How to clean up a chemical spill. Any other emergency functions your specific branch may need. Proven to be a responsible person. Must be able to use Pest Pac including how to look at schedules, how to look up account info and basic reporting. Preferred company standards for truck, office and chemical cage cleanliness and organization. How to properly perform a tech ride along/field audit. How to manage customer complaints. How to check Lytx for driving infractions. How to check GeoTab for GPS. How to check and approve hours in Paychex Flex. Must assist as needed with Specialty or Emergency Services. A history of sales and can train others in selling. Any additional duties the branch manager or Black Pest may need to complete.
