Overview Phil's Tree Service is looking for an experienced Tree Climber to join our crew. We're seeking someone who is confident working at height, understands proper climbing and rigging techniques, and can safely handle tree pruning, removals, and general tree care. This is a hands-on outdoor position for someone who has previous professional tree climbing experience and knows how to work efficiently as part of a crew. Safety, reliability, and good communication are important to us. If you have solid climbing experience and are looking for steady work with an established tree service, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities Climb trees safely using proper climbing gear and techniques Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removals Use ropes and rigging equipment to safely lower limbs and sections of trees Operate chainsaws, bucket trucks, and other tree care equipment Work carefully around homes, vehicles, landscaping, utilities, and other surrounding property Inspect equipment and climbing gear before use and report any issues Work closely with the ground crew to keep jobs running safely and efficiently Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE Help keep trucks, equipment, and job sites organized and clean Experience & Requirements Previous professional tree climbing experience required Experience with tree pruning, trimming, and removals Comfortable using chainsaws, climbing gear, ropes, and rigging equipment Experience operating a bucket truck Strong understanding of safe tree climbing and removal practices Able to perform physically demanding outdoor work in different weather conditions Reliable and able to work well with a crew CDL preferred, but not required Must be able to pass a drug test What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Steady work Opportunities to learn and advance Work with professional tree-care equipment Health insurance Paid time off We're looking for an experienced climber who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a dependable, hardworking crew.
