You will be responsible for executing safe and efficient tree care operations, including pruning, trimming, and rigging, to enhance the health and aesthetics of trees and landscapes. Responsibilities Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and climbing gear to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks with precision. Operate bucket trucks and other specialized equipment to access hard-to-reach areas efficiently. Conduct rigging operations for the safe removal of large limbs or hazardous trees, utilizing proper techniques and tools. Perform detailed tree care activities such as plant pruning, tree trimming, and shaping to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Maintain equipment including chainsaws, bucket operation gear, and rigging tools to ensure optimal safety and functionality. Follow established safety protocols while working at heights or in challenging environments; ensure all work complies with industry standards. Collaborate with team members on project planning, site assessments, and environmental considerations related to dendrology (the study of trees). Requirements Proven experience in tree climbing, arboriculture, or related landscape maintenance roles with a focus on tree care. Hands-on knowledge of rigging techniques for safe tree removal or limb management. Wood chipper operation. Stump grinder operation. Familiarity with operating bucket trucks safely for elevated work tasks. Experience using chainsaws and other power tools safely in outdoor environments. Valid driver's license required. Reliable transportation. Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
