Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Architect to lead and coordinate complex architectural projects from conception through construction. This pivotal role combines visionary design leadership with meticulous project management, ensuring that each project meets high standards of quality, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. As a Senior Project Architect, you will collaborate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with project goals and client expectations. Your expertise in construction documentation, building codes, and BIM tools will drive project success while fostering sustainable design practices across all phases. Duties Lead the development of comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely delivery of design phases and construction milestones. Prepare detailed architectural drawings and construction detail documentation utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, and other BIM tools. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to perform building code analysis, regulatory compliance checks, and accessibility assessments to meet local and international standards. Manage the creation of accurate construction estimates and budgets through thorough construction estimating and cost analysis. Oversee the integration of sustainable design principles into projects, including energy efficiency strategies and environmentally responsible materials selection. Facilitate project management activities such as contract negotiations, scope definition, risk management, and progress tracking using project scheduling software like NavisWorks. Support business development efforts by preparing compelling proposals, presentations, and client negotiations to expand firm opportunities. Ensure construction accessibility regulations are incorporated into design solutions for inclusive environments. Collaborate on renovation and interior design projects by producing detailed construction drawings aligned with client needs and building regulations. Maintain high standards for quality control by reviewing drawings for accuracy, clarity, and compliance before submission. Requirements 8+ years of experience as a Project Architect with a strong portfolio demonstrating leadership in complex architectural projects across various sectors including commercial, healthcare, or institutional buildings. Extensive knowledge of building codes, construction regulatory compliance, accessibility regulations, and BIM workflows. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino 3D, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu for document review and markup. Skilled in project scheduling tools such as NavisWorks to coordinate timelines effectively across teams. Strong negotiation skills for contracts and vendor relations coupled with business development capabilities to foster new client relationships. Experience in construction estimating and budgeting processes to ensure financial feasibility of projects. Ability to interpret construction drawings accurately while paying close attention to detail for renovation or interior design projects. Knowledge of sustainable design practices and their integration into architectural solutions. Construction management experience including site visits, progress monitoring, safety protocols adherence, and resolving on-site issues promptly. Excellent drafting skills combined with a comprehensive understanding of CAD standards for clear communication of design intent.
