Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic paving team as a Paving Crew Member and be a vital part of transforming infrastructure projects! In this energetic role, you will work alongside skilled professionals to lay asphalt, concrete, and other paving materials that shape our communities. Your hands-on involvement will ensure high-quality results while adhering to safety standards and project timelines. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your construction skills and contribute to impactful civil infrastructure projects. Duties Operate paving equipment such as screeds, asphalt pavers, and concrete pumps to ensure smooth, durable surfaces. Assist with the preparation and layout of construction sites, including rebar installation and concrete forming. Maintain and perform routine checks on construction machinery, including loaders, excavators, dump trucks, and concrete mixers. Follow safety regulations and protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for all team members. Conduct basic math calculations for measurements, material quantities, and project specifications to support accurate paving work. Support the mixing, pouring, finishing, and curing of concrete while ensuring adherence to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Collaborate with team members on heavy equipment operation and construction site tasks to meet project deadlines efficiently. Requirements Prior experience working on construction projects in a civil infrastructure or paving role is highly preferred. Knowledge of construction machinery maintenance, heavy equipment operation, and paving equipment operation. Familiarity with bituminous materials, asphalt paving techniques, concrete finishing, and concrete pumping processes. Ability to operate commercial vehicles such as dump trucks and adhere to DOT regulations for commercial driving. Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations. Strong understanding of safety regulations, safety protocol adherence, and construction site safety practices. Experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, excavation equipment like excavators, loaders, and skid steers is advantageous. Valid driver's license with commercial vehicle certification preferred; must be able to operate heavy machinery safely on-site. $25.00 - $35.35 per hour
