The Grade Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising grading and sitework operations on assigned construction projects. This position requires a highly experienced, hands-on leader with extensive knowledge of grading, heavy equipment operation, GPS machine control, finish grading, roadway construction, and site development. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, experienced field leader who can work independently, make sound decisions, and effectively manage all aspects of a grading operation from rough grading through final finish grading. Responsibilities Direct grading crew members and equipment operators. Operate grading equipment when required to support project operations. Operate and demonstrate proficiency with finish graders and other major grading equipment. Utilize Topcon GPS machine control to establish and maintain accurate grades, slopes, and elevations. Verify GPS information against plans, survey data, stakes, and field conditions. Troubleshoot basic GPS and machine-control issues and communicate technical problems to the appropriate personnel. Identify and correct deficiencies before they result in rework, delays, or additional costs. Monitor crew productivity and equipment utilization. Enforce all company, OSHA, FDOT, County, and project-specific safety requirements. Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and job hazard assessments as required. Skills FDOT or County project experience - REQUIRED. Hands-on Topcon GPS experience - REQUIRED. Strong finish grader experience - REQUIRED. Ability to operate and/or effectively direct the operation of all major grading equipment. Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a grading crew. Strong knowledge of grading, earthwork, sitework, and roadway construction. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions. Pay:
$1,250.00 - $1,650.00 per week
