Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic construction team as an Asphalt Laborer and be a vital part of creating and maintaining high-quality roadways and infrastructure. In this energetic role, you will assist with asphalt paving, heavy equipment operation, and site preparation to ensure smooth, safe, and durable road construction projects. Your hands-on work will directly contribute to the development of 's vital transportation networks, supporting community growth and mobility. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in heavy civil infrastructure while working outdoors on impactful projects. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as trucks to maintain construction sites. Perform manual handling tasks like lifting, shoveling, and moving materials safely across job sites. Support highway maintenance activities and construction projects by setting up traffic control zones in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Use hand tools and power tools for site preparation, repairs, or equipment maintenance while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with welding, mechanical repairs, and basic equipment troubleshooting when needed to ensure continuous project progress. Experience Previous construction experience working on road construction or civil infrastructure projects is highly preferred. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations related to commercial truck driving and safety standards for outdoor work environments. Experience with traffic control setup for work zones to ensure safety for workers and the traveling public. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while following safety procedures. Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions on active construction sites. Basic mechanical knowledge and experience using hand tools and power tools are advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.

$32.65 per hour
