Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Asphalt Operator to join our civil infrastructure team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining asphalt paving equipment, ensuring the smooth execution of paving projects that contribute to the development of roads, highways, and other essential infrastructure. Your expertise in construction machinery, safety regulations, and asphalt materials will be vital in delivering high-quality results efficiently and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects while honing your skills in heavy equipment operation and site management. Duties Operate paving equipment such as screeds, asphalt pavers, and rollers to lay asphalt with precision and efficiency Maintain and perform routine inspections on construction machinery including loaders, excavators, pavers, and rollers to ensure optimal performance Follow safety protocols diligently, adhering to OSHA standards and DOT regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all team members Conduct basic math calculations for measurements, material quantities, and project specifications to ensure accurate execution of tasks Support equipment maintenance tasks by troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing minor repairs as needed Collaborate with team members on large-scale civil infrastructure projects involving heavy equipment operation, paving, concrete finishing, and site cleanup Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery including asphalt pavers, screed, loaders, excavators, rollers Strong knowledge of asphalt paving processes, bituminous materials, concrete work, and related construction techniques Familiarity with safety regulations such as OSHA standards and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements for construction sites Prior involvement in civil infrastructure projects involving road construction or similar large-scale developments Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and material estimations Demonstrated understanding of equipment maintenance procedures and mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting issues on-site Join our team if you're passionate about building essential infrastructure with precision and safety!
