Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, dump trucks, excavators, loaders, and paving equipment in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols. Transport asphalt materials, concrete mixers, rebar, and construction supplies to various job sites. Assist with asphalt paving tasks including screeding, concrete finishing, concrete pumping, and rebar installation to ensure smooth surfaces and durable finishes. Perform routine maintenance on construction machinery such as bituminous material spreaders, screeds, concrete mixers, and excavators to keep equipment in optimal working condition. Support seal coating operations by preparing surfaces, applying sealants accurately, and ensuring proper curing for long-lasting pavement protection. Follow safety procedures diligently during all phases of construction work to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards. Collaborate with team members on-site to execute paving projects efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial vehicles is essential. Proven experience working on construction sites within civil infrastructure projects involving asphalt paving and concrete work. Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, pavers, screeds, and concrete pumps. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, material quantities, and project specifications. Strong understanding of safety regulations including OSHA guidelines and DOT (Department of Transportation) rules governing commercial vehicle operation. Familiarity with construction materials such as bituminous materials (asphalt), concrete components, rebar installation, and concrete finishing techniques. Physical ability to lift heavy materials, operate machinery for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
