NICET II

- Soils & Asphalt Technicians to join our team in New York City. Key Responsibilities (depending on qualification and certification level): Perform field and laboratory testing of soils and asphalt in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards. Conduct soil compaction, density, and asphalt quality control testing. Collect samples and accurately document test results and field reports. Inspect construction activities for compliance with project specifications. Operate, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment. Communicate findings to project teams and report non-conforming materials. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Travel to project sites and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

NICET Level II Certification in Construction Materials Testing - Soils & Asphalt (required). Minimum of 5 years of experience in the sampling and testing of soils and asphalt. Knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and applicable DOT standards. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification. Nuclear Gauge Safety Certification (authorized to operate a nuclear density gauge). Experience performing asphalt plant inspections , asphalt density testing , and soil density investigations . Ability to perform field and laboratory testing of soils and asphalt and prepare accurate documentation. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work outdoors, travel to project sites, and lift up to 50 pounds. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
