Manager/Superintendent Industry :
Asphalt Sealing Work Location :
Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. Crew meets in Bridgeville/Carnegie area daily.
Wage :
$35-40/hour depending on experience.
Schedule :
Part-Time with intent to expand into Full-Time. Hours fluctuate based on business/weather. Must be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. SUMMARY As Superintendent your main responsibility will be to ensure that the day-to-day operation is running efficiently, holding customer satisfaction as a top priority. The Superintendent is expected to perform labor duties alongside the crew.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure proper equipment is available, maintained, ready, and onsite for the crew. Direct activities of non-union workers engaged with asphalt sealing in residential and commercial locations. Provide and continue necessary training to new hires. Remain knowledgeable and keep abreast on sealing practices. Perform manual labor alongside the crew. Ensure workmanship meets company and customer expectations. Assist with staffing and performance duties. Input data using Microsoft Office to track jobs, payroll, and expenses. Engage with potential customers, increasing new and existing business. Abide by all safety policies and procedures, ensuring the same for the crew. Safely work with machinery and hazardous material. Other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years in a labor-intensive role. Experience/ability working in extreme weather conditions. Demonstrated level of responsibility required to perform managerial expectations. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 80lbs. on a regular basis for multiple hours a day. Valid driver's license. Prior to being hired, employees will be required to pass a drug test and background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with asphalt sealing. Experience managing a multi-member crew of laborers. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word). Medical DOT card preferred.
