We are looking for a technician who is confident troubleshooting boiler systems in the field, understands proper piping and system operation, communicates professionally with customers, and can accurately identify problems and recommend appropriate repairs. Required Boiler Service Knowledge & Experience Diagnose and repair 80%-90% efficiency boilers Diagnose and service high-efficiency and condensing boilers Strong understanding of hydronic boiler piping and system layouts Diagnose circulator pumps, zone valves, expansion tanks, air separators, pressure-reducing valves, backflow preventers, and controls Diagnose and repair gas valves, ignition systems, flame sensors, pressure switches, safeties, and electronic controls Understand proper boiler operating pressure and temperature Diagnose air in hydronic systems and properly purge and bleed zones Understand primary/secondary piping and zoning Understand proper pipe sizing Service and repair combi boilers Troubleshoot domestic hot water issues related to combi systems Identify improper vent termination locations or installation issues Perform boiler maintenance, cleaning, and preventative services Inspect systems for leaks, corrosion, improper piping, and unsafe operating conditions Perform combustion analysis when required Diagnose gas pressure and combustion-related problems Repair and replace 1"-2" black iron gas piping Solder and repair copper piping Install and repair PEX piping Read wiring diagrams and manufacturer service information Additional HVAC Service Experience Preferred Diagnose and repair mini-split and heat pump systems Properly use refrigeration gauges, micron gauges, vacuum pumps, refrigeration scales, and flaring tools Diagnose refrigerant, electrical, airflow, and control issues Understand line-set sizing and manufacturer requirements Diagnose electrical components including capacitors, contactors, relays, transformers, motors, and control boards Understand breaker and electrical requirements for HVAC equipment Service and repair tankless water heaters Service and repair standard and high-efficiency water heaters Diagnose fuel, water, and electrical connections related to HVAC equipment Troubleshoot residential and light commercial HVAC controls and automation Tools & Field Requirements Technician should be experienced using the tools necessary to perform boiler and HVAC service, and have existing tools in their tool bag.

Has strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Can work independently and systematically diagnose service problems Takes pride in completing repairs correctly the first time Explains findings and repair recommendations clearly to customers Asks questions and gathers information before beginning diagnosis Maintains accurate service documentation Maintains a clean and safe work environment Makes a professional impression in customers' homes and businesses Communicates effectively with homeowners, building owners, maintenance personnel, managers, and coworkers Has a valid driver's license and good driving record Is dependable, organized, and prepared for each service call Boiler service and troubleshooting experience is required. Hydronic heating knowledge is a major focus of this position.
