Job Description

Black Creek Construction is a family-owned company based in Black Creek, Georgia. We specialize in building custom timber bridges, boardwalks, and bulkheads throughout the southeastern United States, primarily in residential developments and golf course communities. Our projects are high-visibility, detail-driven, and built to last. We are currently seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our traveling construction crew. This is a pivotal role within our company that requires craftsmanship, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates respectfully, and understands the importance of representing the company well while working in high-end and sensitive environments such as golf courses and private communities. Travel & Work Environment This position requires extended travel, often for several months at a time without returning home. Crews stay in company-provided Airbnb accommodations for the duration of each project. Professional conduct is expected both on the jobsite and at company-provided lodging. Compensation & Benefits Starting pay: $18 - $25 per hour , based on experience Food per diem when working out of town Paid Time Off after 6 months of employment Paid holidays Health benefits including dental and vision Drug-free workplace Probationary/trial period required Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and schematics to determine project specifications Measure, mark, cut, and install materials accurately Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently Ensure all work meets safety standards and applicable building codes Maintain organized and clean worksites Collaborate with crew members to complete projects on schedule and within budget Uphold company standards of professionalism and quality at all times Required Skills & Qualifications Strong working knowledge of carpentry methods, tools, and best practices Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings Excellent attention to detail and measurement accuracy Solid problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Professional demeanor and respectful communication Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods If you are a dependable, skilled carpenter looking to be part of a growing company that takes pride in craftsmanship and teamwork, we would like to hear from you.
