Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking skilled and dedicated Forman and Journeyman Carpenters to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work on a variety of commercial construction projects, ensuring that all tasks meet safety standards, project specifications, and quality expectations. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects, from initial blueprint interpretation to final inspections. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects that require precision, management skills, and a proactive approach to construction safety and efficiency. Duties Read and interpret detailed construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks. Coordinate with project managers and supervisors to develop and maintain construction schedules. Manage daily operations on-site, supervising crew members and managing teams in a construction management role to ensure timely completion of tasks. Oversee construction safety compliance by adhering to OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards, conducting regular safety audits. Review contracts and coordinate construction schedule adjustments to optimize project flow while maintaining high standards of quality. Supervise the review of construction drawings and schematics; interpret technical drawings accurately using tools like an ohmmeter when necessary for electrical components. Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to construction regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards; oversee construction schedule coordination. Lead crew management efforts by supervising team members' performance, managing labor resources efficiently, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Perform quality control checks throughout the project lifecycle; ensure all work aligns with blueprint specifications and industry standards. Requirements Proven experience as a Forman or Journeyman Carpenter with extensive commercial construction site experience. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing teams in a construction management role. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings review. Excellent communication skills for managerial coordination and crew supervision; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Knowledge of federal and local construction safety regulations; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment at all times. Experience with budgeting processes within large-scale projects; understanding of contracts and procurement procedures. Construction safety certification (OSHA 10 or 30-hour training) is required; additional certifications are a plus. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation for job site access.
