Hudson Valley Building & Restoration is hiring an experienced carpenter. Full-time, year-round. We're a Stanfordville-based contractor doing remodeling, restoration, and light commercial work across Columbia, Dutchess, Ulster and Greene counties. We self-perform our carpentry, tile, drywall, paint, and flooring — which means if you come work here, you're doing real carpentry every day, not holding a broom while subs do the interesting parts.

WHAT YOU'D ACTUALLY BE DOING

Framing — partitions, headers, blocking, sleeper floors, attic separations Finish carpentry — casing, base, stools, cased openings, doors and hardware Window and door installs, including flashing and siding cut-and-patch Selective demo and cut-and-patch on occupied job sites Pitching in on drywall, tile, and finish work when the schedule calls for it Jobs range from residential remodels and garage builds to spec'd-out commercial projects with real drawings and submittals. If you like variety and you like seeing a job through from demo to punch list, you'll be comfortable here.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Solid carpentry experience — you can read a set of plans, lay out your own work, and run a task without someone standing over you You can get to job sites on time. We don't care how you do it — your truck, a ride, carpooling with the crew. That's your business. Showing up is the part we can't flex on. Your own hand tools and belt are preferred, but not a dealbreaker. We've got the big stuff and we'll cover what you're missing. Able to handle the physical side — lifting 50+ lbs, ladders, staging, full days on your feet

ABOUT THE PAY, STRAIGHT UP

$22-40/hr is a real range, not a bracket with nobody at the top. Where you land depends on three things: what you actually know how to do, whether you show up, and how your work holds up. Come in experienced and reliable and you start high. Come in light on experience but dependable and willing, you start lower and you move — we'd rather grow somebody good than churn through people.

SCHEDULE

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

LOCATION

Our job sites move around the Hudson Valley — recent and current work in Claverack, Hudson, Germantown, Elizaville, Poughkeepsie, Lagrangeville, New Paltz, Tillson, Woodstock and West Coxsackie. If you're within reasonable driving distance of any of those, you're in range.

Pay:
