Monday-Friday with occasional additional hours as project schedules require Job Summary Ben Nye The Fix-It Guy is hiring an experienced Lead Interior Residential Installer to join our remodeling and repair team. This is a hands-on working lead position for someone who can complete quality residential remodeling work while leading a small crew. We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, can troubleshoot problems in the field, communicates professionally with homeowners, and can keep a project moving efficiently. This is not a position where you simply supervise others. The Lead Installer works alongside the crew and is expected to be one of the most skilled and productive members of the team. What You'll Do Lead residential interior remodeling and repair projects. Direct and work alongside installers and laborers. Perform bathroom and kitchen remodeling. Install cabinets and vanities. Install interior doors, baseboard, casing, and trim. Perform finish carpentry. Install LVP, laminate, and other residential flooring. Perform drywall installation, patching, and finishing. Complete painting, caulking, and finish work. Perform basic framing and carpentry modifications. Complete demolition and project preparation. Perform basic plumbing and electrical work within assigned scope and qualifications. Read measurements, project scopes, manufacturer instructions, and basic plans. Identify jobsite problems and communicate solutions to management. Verify crew workmanship and complete quality-control inspections. Maintain jobsite cleanliness and protect customers' homes. Track job progress and communicate material needs. Take progress photos and complete required project documentation. Maintain company tools and equipment. Complete punch-list and warranty work when required. What We're Looking For We're looking for a well-rounded residential remodeler , not someone experienced in only one trade. Qualified candidates should have solid experience with several of the following: Residential remodeling Finish carpentry Kitchen remodeling Bathroom remodeling Cabinet installation Interior door and trim installation Flooring Drywall Painting Basic framing Basic plumbing Basic electrical General residential repair and troubleshooting Leadership Expectations As a Lead Installer, you will be expected to: Keep your assigned crew productive. Assign daily tasks and priorities. Train and assist less-experienced employees. Inspect completed work. Maintain company workmanship standards. Recognize potential change orders before additional work is performed. Communicate delays, concealed conditions, and material issues to management. Maintain a professional jobsite. Communicate appropriately with homeowners. Requirements Previous residential remodeling or construction experience. Demonstrated ability to independently complete interior remodeling work. Experience leading other employees or installers preferred. Valid driver's license when driving is part of assigned duties. Ability to safely use common construction hand and power tools. Ability to accurately read a tape measure. Ability to troubleshoot residential repair and remodeling conditions. Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to assigned reporting locations. Ability to work professionally inside occupied homes. Ability to safely lift and carry approximately 50-75 lbs., using assistance or mechanical means when appropriate. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical construction work throughout the workday. You should be able to walk onto an assigned project, understand the scope, organize the day's work, identify potential problems, coordinate the crew, and produce professional-quality results. Safety Employees are required to follow company safety policies and applicable jobsite safety requirements. Required PPE must be used. Company-provided shirts must be worn as required. Appropriate work pants and closed-toe work shoes or boots are required for field work. Sandals are not permitted.
