The Painter III is expected to independently manage the finishing process from surface preparation through final inspection , while maintaining exceptional standards for craftsmanship, consistency, appearance, and safety.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with lacquer spray painting , understands the characteristics of different wood products and coatings, and can produce smooth, consistent finishes on high-end custom work. Key Responsibilities Prepare wood and millwork surfaces through sanding, cleaning, filling, priming, sealing, and other preparation techniques. Operate, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot spray guns and other painting and finishing equipment. Properly mix and prepare coatings according to manufacturer and project specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe finishing area. Follow all safety procedures, environmental requirements, and PPE protocols. Work independently while collaborating with production, carpentry, project management, and design teams . Help support production schedules while maintaining the quality and craftsmanship expected of high-end millwork. Qualifications Proven professional painting and finishing experience in a millwork, cabinetry, furniture, manufacturing, commercial, or industrial environment . Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to work around paint fumes, dust, solvents, and varying temperatures. Ability to wear required PPE, including gloves, eye protection, and respiratory protection. Ability to safely operate painting and finishing equipment.
