We have several different teams within our firm that specialize in different areas of the construction business. We're looking for a full-time Construction Carpenter with heavy residential and commercial experience to join our team. The Construction Carpenter will be responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings. Other duties will include designing, cutting, and measuring materials according to blueprints. It is preferred that the ideal candidate have at least 2 years' construction experience. Must be able to pass a drug test and background test. Salary will be based on experience. Vacation, Sick leave, paid holidays, and Insurance offered after the first 90 days of your employment. Job Duties and Responsibilities Carpenter assistants have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include: Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation. Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required. Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials. Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment. (see required tools to be supplied by applicant below) Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service. Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift at least fifty pounds at will. Essential Skills Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of 2 years' experience as a carpenter. Good communication skills. Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination. Knowledge of mathematics. Excellent time management skills Attention to details Organization Skills Knowledge of the tools and materials used in carpentry and the ability to use a variety of tools Punctual and reliable Ability to work independently and with others as a team.
