Teaching Full Job Description We're Hiring:
Operations & Scuba Assistant Technology Customer Service Scuba Operations Wilmington, NC Looking for a job where you won't sit at a desk doing the same thing every day? We operate several unique businesses combining technology, employment verification, scuba diving, retail, training, a commercial swimming pool, and our own 30-acre dive quarry . We're looking for an energetic, dependable person who enjoys learning and is comfortable wearing a lot of different hats . This is not a single-task job. One day you may be helping customers and answering verification calls; another day you may be working with software, preparing scuba equipment, filling tanks, helping with a class, working at our pool, or spending the weekend at our dive lake. If that sounds exciting rather than overwhelming, you may be exactly who we're looking for. Our Businesses ComputerSoft / Verification Professional Technology company providing employment and income verification services. 5815 Oleander Drive S200 Wilmington, NC 28403 Scuba Now Scuba training, equipment, retail, and dive operations. Commercial Pool & Gear Center 5318 Wrightsville Ave., Wilmington, NC 30-Acre Scuba Lake 4427 Todd Rd. SW, Shallotte, NC Our private spring-fed quarry used for scuba training and diving. What You'll Actually Do This position works across our businesses, so responsibilities will vary.
You may:
Assist with employment and income verification operations Answer phones and provide professional customer service Work with our software systems and learn new technology Assist customers in our scuba retail operation Help prepare students and equipment for scuba classes Fill, move, and load scuba cylinders Maintain scuba equipment, classrooms, pool areas, and facilities Help operate our commercial pool and private dive lake Assist instructors during training and dive weekends Help with inventory, displays, demonstrations, and events Assist with social media, photos, videos, and product demonstrations Perform administrative and organizational work Help wherever needed to keep our businesses running smoothly Some days are office days. Some are scuba days. Some involve computers. Some involve moving tanks and equipment. Frequently, it's a combination of all of them. We're looking for someone who sees that variety as a benefit.
A Unique Opportunity:
Become a Dive Professional For the right person, we will provide a Divemaster training and development package valued at approximately $8,000 . This is not a quick certification. Becoming a capable dive professional takes time, experience, training, and commitment. Expect the development process to take a year or longer . For someone who loves scuba and wants to pursue it professionally, this is an opportunity to gain experience while working around diving throughout the year. There may also be an opportunity to continue training toward becoming a Scuba Instructor . Schedule Our schedule changes with the dive season.
Off Season:
Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Dive Season (approximately May 15 - September 1): Regular weekday responsibilities plus scheduled weekend dive classes. During the dive season, classes generally run 2-3 weekends per month , and weekend class days can run approximately 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM . Weekend availability during scheduled scuba classes is an important part of this position. Who We're Looking For You don't need to know everything on your first day—we can teach you the skills. What we cannot teach is reliability, commitment, and a strong work ethic. We are looking for someone who wants a stable, long-term position and is genuinely interested in becoming an important part of our team. We invest significant time and resources in training our employees, so we are not looking for someone who simply wants a temporary job or plans to move on after a few months. The right person will be dependable, willing to learn, comfortable taking on different responsibilities, and interested in growing with our companies for years—not weeks or months. If you're looking for a place to learn, grow, take on responsibility, and build something long-term, we'd like to meet you.
You should be:
Dependable and punctual Comfortable talking with customers Comfortable using computers and learning new software Organized and able to move between different responsibilities Willing to work both indoors and outdoors Physically capable of handling scuba equipment and cylinders Able to lift approximately 90 lbs when required A strong swimmer Interested in scuba diving or already a certified diver Comfortable working some weekends during dive season Someone who notices what needs to be done and helps get it done Competitive swimming, triathlon, lifeguarding, scuba, technology, retail, customer service, or administrative experience are all helpful—but the right person does not need to come to us with every skill already. Why This Job Is Different If you're looking for a traditional job where you perform the same task every day, this probably isn't the position for you. But if you'd like to work somewhere you can: Learn technology. Work with customers. Become a better diver. Potentially become a dive professional. Work at a private scuba lake. Learn how several businesses operate. And rarely have two identical days... we'd like to hear from you. Learn More & Apply When applying, please tell us a little about yourself, your work experience, swimming/diving experience, and why this unusual combination of technology and scuba interests you. Come build a career where the office might be a computer workstation one day—and underwater the next.
