Commercial Concrete Form Setter & Finisher Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Concrete Form Setter & Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience building and setting concrete forms, placing and finishing concrete, and working on commercial construction projects while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Build, set, and strip wood and metal concrete forms. Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and project specifications. Install rebar, anchor bolts, embeds, and other reinforcing materials as required. Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete using hand and power tools. Perform screeding, floating, edging, troweling, broom finishes, and other surface finishes. Form and finish sidewalks, curbs, gutters, slabs, foundations, ramps, stairs, and other concrete structures. Check grades, elevations, and alignment to ensure quality workmanship. Operate power tools and equipment safely, including concrete saws, vibrators, and power trowels. Maintain a clean and safe job site while following OSHA safety standards. Work collaboratively with superintendents, foremen, and other trades to meet project schedules. 3+ years of commercial concrete form setting and finishing experience. Experience with wood-framed forms and ADA-compliant concrete ramps is preferred. Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings. Proficient with hand tools and concrete finishing equipment. Knowledge of proper concrete placement, curing, and finishing techniques. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Reliable transportation and ability to report to job sites on time. Must have full construction PPE and basic concrete hand tools.
