Concrete Laborer Orbit Concrete Diamond Bar, CA Job Details Full-time $24 - $28 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Rebar installation Outdoor work experience Moving Formwork construction Power tools Hand tools Working on construction projects Safety protocol implementation Demolition Full Job Description Job Overview Orbit Concrete is looking for an experienced Concrete Laborer to join our team and support our setup and finishing crews on commercial and residential projects. This position will assist with preparing jobsites, setting forms, installing rebar and reinforcement, preparing for concrete placement, and assisting the finishing crew during concrete pours. Our projects include concrete slabs, driveways, patios and walkways, stamped and decorative concrete, concrete removal and replacement, structural concrete work, ADA improvements, parking lot construction and repair, and related concrete and masonry work. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands on experience working in concrete or masonry. The right person should have experience with rebar, concrete forming, jobsite preparation, and assisting with concrete finishing. We are looking for someone who is dependable, works well with a crew, follows direction, takes pride in their work, and maintains a safe and clean jobsite. Responsibilities Assist the setup crew with preparing jobsites for concrete placement. Assist with forming, layout, and preparation for slabs, driveways, sidewalks, curbs, patios, and other concrete work. Install and tie rebar, wire mesh, dowels, and other reinforcing materials as directed. Assist with grading, base preparation, compaction, and general site preparation. Assist the finishing crew during concrete pours with spreading, raking, screeding, edging, jointing, bull floating, and broom finishing. Help prepare and organize tools, materials, and equipment before and during concrete placement. Assist with concrete demolition, cutting, breaking, chipping, and removal when needed. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and properly. Load, unload, move, and organize concrete materials, tools, and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project. Follow directions from the foreman and work effectively with the setup and finishing crews. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe jobsite. Perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, standing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience working in concrete, masonry, or a closely related construction trade. Experience assisting with concrete setup and finishing. Experience installing and tying rebar is required. Experience with wire mesh, dowels, anchor bolts, and other concrete reinforcement is preferred. Experience with concrete forming and jobsite preparation. Experience with concrete removal and replacement is preferred. Masonry experience is a plus. Ability to safely operate common hand tools and power tools used in concrete construction. Must be able to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work for extended periods. Must have reliable transportation and be dependable and punctual. Must be able to work as part of a crew and follow instructions from the foreman. Must maintain a professional attitude and take pride in quality workmanship. Commitment to jobsite safety and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
