Concrete Laborer — Wagner Paving, Inc. (Laura, OH) About us Wagner Paving has been family-owned since 1970 and is now in its second generation, with the third stepping in. We're an ODOT-approved contractor running about 85 people and doing the work in-house — our own paving and concrete crews, our own fleet, our own maintenance shop. Paving, concrete, milling, chip seal, and striping. When something breaks, we fix it. When a job needs to get done, our people do it. The job We're hiring concrete laborers to work alongside our crews on commercial, industrial, and public roadway projects across the Miami Valley. This is hands-on flatwork and structural concrete — curb and gutter, sidewalks, ADA ramps, aprons, pads, catch basin adjustments, and the concrete that ties into our paving work. You don't need to know everything on day one. If you show up, work hard, and want to learn, we'll teach you the rest. What you'll do Set, strip, and clean forms; place and tie rebar to plan Place, spread, screed, float, and finish concrete Run power tools and hand tools — saws, drills, vibrators, tampers, plate compactors Read prints and grade stakes to hit the right line and elevation Saw cut, seal, and caulk joints Handle materials and keep the job site clean and organized Follow safety procedures every day, including work-zone traffic control Work with our paving crews, operators, and foremen to keep jobs moving What we're looking for Concrete or general construction experience preferred Reliable transportation and the ability to show up on time, every day Comfortable with physical work: lifting, bending, standing, and working outdoors in Ohio weather Willing to work overtime and occasional nights or weekends when a job calls for it Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus (and we'll help you get one) Team-first attitude and a real work ethic — that matters more here than a résumé What we offer This is where we're different from most contractors our size: 100% free healthcare — medical, dental, and life insurance fully paid for you and your whole family.
