Job Description:
FORCINE is looking for an experienced Concrete Quality Control Specialist who knows concrete construction and has a sharp eye for the details that make the difference between acceptable and exceptional work. In this role, you'll work directly with project teams, suppliers, contractors, and field personnel to ensure our concrete materials, placement, and finishing meet project specifications, industry standards, and Forcine's high standards for quality.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Review contracts, scopes, drawings, and specifications throughout the construction process. Provide technical support and quality solutions to project teams. Review concrete mix designs with internal teams and suppliers. Conduct field visits to verify materials, dimensions, placement, finishing, and procedures. Identify discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and document corrective actions. Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, and field teams to maintain quality. Monitor compliance with applicable quality, safety, and industry standards. Support continuous improvement of Forcine's quality processes and programs.
WHAT YOU BRING
3+ years of experience in concrete construction, quality control, or materials testing. Strong understanding of concrete production, placement, and finishing. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, contracts, and specifications. Experience verifying field dimensions, procedures, and construction practices. Knowledge of industry standards and codes, including ACI, PCI, and TCA . Strong problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to safely operate tools, machinery, and equipment. ACI Level 1 Technician certification Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively between project sites.
Work Environment:
This position will be a combination of field, and occasional office work with potential exposure to loud noise, moving equipment, dust and outdoor elements. The worker is exposed to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including extreme cold and heat for extended periods exceeding one hour. Factors such as wind and humidity should also be considered, as they can intensify the cold and heat. The worker is exposed to various atmospheric conditions that may impact the respiratory system or skin, including fumes, odors, dust, mist, gases, and inadequate ventilation.
