Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Coating Lead to join our team. As a Concrete Coating Lead, you will be responsible for the application of various coatings and finishes to concrete surfaces, ensuring their durability, appearance, and functionality. Your expertise in concrete coatings, surface preparation, and application techniques will play a vital role in enhancing the aesthetics and longevity of concrete structures. You will be in charge of your crew and ensuring the successful completion of installation for each day. Crews typically involve 2-3 people. •
Driving work van from warehouse to jobsite every day. Ensuring materials and tools are accounted for.
Coating Application:
Apply a wide range of concrete coatings, sealers, and finishes using appropriate tools, equipment, and techniques, ensuring a consistent and high-quality result.
Surface Preparation:
Prepare concrete surfaces by cleaning, using large industrial grinders, repairing cracks or imperfections, and applying necessary primers or base coats, ensuring proper adhesion of coatings.
Product Knowledge:
Understand different types of concrete coatings, their characteristics, and application requirements. Select appropriate coatings based on project specifications and client needs.
Equipment Operation:
Operate and maintain coating application equipment such as sprayers, rollers, brushes, and power tools, ensuring their proper functioning and safety.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure the application of coatings meets established quality standards, adhering to project specifications, industry regulations, and safety guidelines.
Safety Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents, injuries, and exposure to hazardous materials during coating application and surface preparation.
Project Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements, timelines, and expectations. Coordinate and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines effectively.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of project details, including surface preparation, coating specifications, product usage, and any issues encountered during the coating process.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in coating technology, and best practices. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with team members, providing support, guidance, and sharing knowledge to ensure successful completion of projects.

Experience:

Proficiency in operation of equipment and tools. Attention to

Meticulous approach to work, paying close attention to surface preparation, coating thickness, and overall quality to achieve desired results.
Safety Awareness:
Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to concrete coatings, including handling of chemicals, proper ventilation, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ability to identify and troubleshoot coating application issues, such as adhesion problems, bubbles, or inconsistencies, and take appropriate corrective actions.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, project stakeholders, and clients.
Time Management:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
Certification:
Any relevant certifications or training in concrete coatings, surface preparation, or coatings application would be advantageous.
