Permanent Employment Help for . Description A Concrete Field Supervisor coordinates tasks for the crew according to the project needs, produces schedules for the crew and supervises the use of machinery. This supervisor will train crew members on safe equipment use as needed. The position will complete assigned tasks while achieving a Zero Incident goal.
Requirements Education and Experience:
Five years of related experience preferred
Experience with flatwork, retaining walls, drop structures, spill ways, building slabs and headwalls
Bilingual Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
Ability to read blueprints, rebar layout, anchor bolts layouts
Ability to shoot grade
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Current valid class C driver's license and safe driving record
Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Ability to operate equipment Summary Responsibilities Plans and organizes daily activities
Travel expected 50-70%
Maintains project administration in a correct and timely manner
Read designs, layout designs and set-up jobs
Routinely interact with clients and answer questions
Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
Working with HR for duties such as recruiting, selecting, scheduling, counselling, and disciplining employees
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
Communicate to supervisor equipment and manpower needs to meet schedules and deadlines
Clean equipment as necessary and report maintenance needs
Verify and approve employee timecard entries on a daily and weekly basis by noted deadline for payroll
Performs other related duties as required Physical Demands and Work Environment Prolonged periods sitting while driving or working on a computer
Prolonged periods of exposure to the weather
Proper use of PPE is required
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time Position Type, Travel and Work Schedule This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are determined by job requirements. Weekend work and working long hours will be required when necessary.
