Job Summary:

Finish flatwork, curb/gutter, set forms and general labor

Supervisory Duties:

None Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Ability to finish flatwork, curb/gutter. Ability to set forms and perform general labor Ability to uncured concrete till smooth. Ability to form C & G Perform other duties as needed or directed by supervisor. Management retains the right to add or change duties at any time.

Minimum Qualifications:

Authorized to work in United States Must have dependable transportation to move around job sites within Northern Va. Ability to pass Pre-employment drug test and physical Ability read directions, orders or other work related documents and safety warnings, hear audible horns and alarms, have sense of smell and touch Abiltiy to understand and follow instructions.

Desired Attributes:

Use trowels, brushes and brooms to finish flat and curb and gutter concrete. Use chemicals, glues, tar, cement, asphalt and other solvents to seal concrete. Use of lasers, levels, grade rods and transits, hammers, stakes, pins and forms. Ability to operate skid steer. Ability to operate tampers, hand and gasoline powered saws, walk behind and ride on compaction equipment.

Ability to work independently or as a team, is dependable and has a strong work ethic. Self-motivated, pro-active and takes initiative. Upholds the mission and vision of S W Rodgers Company, Inc.

Physical Requirements:

Standing, walking, climb, reaching outward, using ladders and stairs Ability to lift/carry up to 80 pounds Squatting, crawling, bending, kneeling, fingering, reaching above shoulders or handling small items Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety glasses and shields, reflective vest, dust masks, seat belts, and hearing protection Ability to work at least 40 hours per week, may include nights, weekends if deadlines need to be met.
