In this vital role, you will operate a specialized heavy-duty concrete pump truck (2020 Mack Granite with a 38M 5 stage Putz "Z" boom) to efficiently transfer concrete and other materials on various government infrastructure projects. Your expertise will help ensure smooth, safe, and timely delivery of concrete to support large-scale paving, foundation, and structural work. We're looking for motivated professionals eager to contribute their mechanical skills and construction machinery knowledge to impactful projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of construction innovation while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence. Responsibilities Drive concrete pump truck safely to and from regional job sites. Assess job site conditions to ensure safe placement and operation of the boom. Safely operate concrete pump truck equipped with boom and line pumps, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols. Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other heavy equipment operators to deliver concrete accurately and efficiently across multiple construction sites. Perform routine maintenance checks on the concrete pump truck and associated equipment, including mechanical inspections, fluid level checks, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance. Setup and breakdown of equipment to facilitate seamless workflow. Monitor material flow during pumping operations, adjusting equipment as needed for consistency and quality of the concrete being poured. Maintain clean equipment and report any mechanical issues immediately Maintain detailed logs of daily operations, safety inspections, equipment maintenance activities, and material deliveries in compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks such as concrete forming, rebar placement, paving, and working on government infrastructure projects requiring precise coordination. Requirements Valid CDL-A (Commercial Driver's License - Class A) with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks is essential. Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery including concrete pump trucks, paving equipment, loaders, and concrete mixers. Ability to lift heavy hoses and equipment, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and stand for long periods. Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure safe operation throughout shifts. Familiarity with construction site safety regulations, OSHA standards, DOT regulations, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Strong understanding of concrete pumping processes, screed operation, rebar installation, and working with bituminous materials. Basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating load capacities accurately during operations. Must be able to pass a background check and acquire DBIDS, NAVSEA, and TWIC badging Must be able to pass drug screening Ability to work effectively on construction projects in a government infrastructure environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Previous operating concrete boom is preferred but not required if you have strong CDL-A experience Schedule Monday- Friday with the occasional weekend work depending on project schedule.
