Job Summary The Structural Framing and Steel Erection Foreman is a, hands-on traveling supervisor managing the mechanical framing skeleton of projects for Composite Construction Systems. This role leads ironworkers, carpenters, welders, and laborers to erect structural steel frameworks, install prefabricated metal wall panels, and build heavy concrete form systems. The Foreman ensures all structural skeletons, walls, and forms are perfectly aligned, plumb, and ready for subsequent subcontractors. Key Responsibilities 1. Crew Supervision & Leadership

Daily Management :

Direct and schedule daily tasks for ironworkers, carpenters, and laborers.

•

Safety Compliance :

Enforce OSHA compliance, strictly managing fall protection, rigging safety, and crane signaling.

•

Site Documentation :

Conduct daily toolbox talks, complete progress logs, and submit accurate crew timesheets, and work orders.

•

Logistics :

Request, track, and secure company tools and heavy equipment to ensure peak productivity.

•

Communication :

Maintain clear communication lines between upper management, crew members, and project stakeholders. 2. Prefabricated Metal Wall Installation & Carpentry

•

Panel Placement :

Direct the rigging, hoisting, crane-setting, and tracking of prefabricated metal wall panels.

•

Layout Verification :

Verify precise blueprint layouts, correct panel sequencing, and accurate framework connection to slabs or steel.

•

Formwork :

Supervise the erection and bracing of wood, plywood, or heavy proprietary concrete form systems.

•

Subcontractor Handoff :

Hand off completed formwork, wall frameworks, and embed locations to concrete subcontractors. 3. Steel Erection & Ironworking

•

Material Staging :

Direct the unloading, staging, and lifting of structural steel columns, beams, girders, and trusses.

•

Rigging Operations :

Oversee crane rigging and signaling, ensuring safe hoisting of heavy structural loads.

•

Connection Oversight :

Supervise teams aligning, bolting, torquing, or welding structural steel connections to engineered specifications.

•

Alignment :

Verify plumbing, leveling, and alignment of steel frameworks using plumbing cables, lasers, and transit levels. Schedule & Travel Requirements

Work Hours :

Expect a fast-paced schedule requiring 50 to 60 hours per week.

•

Weekend Commitment :

Requires working a minimum of every other weekend.

Projects vary in duration, ranging from 1 week up to 10 months.

Rotation Schedule :

•

Background Screening :

Must pass a background check, comprehensive drug test, and be eligible to secure access clearance for military projects.

•

Experience :

5 years in structural steel erection, prefabricated metal wall installation, or concrete formwork, with 2 years as a foreman or lead role.

•

Technical Literacy :

Expert blueprint reading, structural steel connection standards, rigging math, and spatial layout instruments.

•

Trade Expertise :

Deep understanding of crane signaling, heavy rigging/dragging physics, wall anchoring, and concrete form mechanics.

•

Physical Demands :

Ability to work outdoors under difficult conditions, comfortably navigate steel beams at elevated heights, stand for long durations, and lift up to 75 lbs.

•

Age Limit :

Must be at least 18 years of age. Preferred Certifications & Languages

•

Bilingual :

Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred.

• OSHA 30 : OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification (Focus on Subpart R - Steel Erection).

•

Rigging/Signaling :

Qualified Rigger and Crane Signaler credentials.

•

Welding :

AWS Welding Certification.

•

General :
