Position Summary The Construction Foreman is responsible for leading field crews in the installation, maintenance, and restoration of underground and aerial fiber optic infrastructure. Working under the direction of the Construction Superintendent or Project Manager, the Foreman ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulations. This position provides hands-on leadership while maintaining productivity, quality, and a strong safety culture. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead daily activities of fiber optic construction crews. Coordinate underground and aerial fiber optic installation, including conduit, handholes, vaults, cable placement, and restoration. Assign daily work tasks and ensure crews have the proper equipment, materials, and resources. Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Read and interpret construction drawings, utility maps, permits, and engineering plans. Coordinate with utility locators, inspectors, subcontractors, and property owners as needed. Monitor crew productivity and ensure projects remain on schedule. Perform quality inspections to verify installations meet customer and company standards. Troubleshoot field issues and communicate project concerns to the Construction Superintendent. Maintain daily production reports, timesheets, equipment logs, and job documentation. Ensure all work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and professional manner. Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members to improve safety, productivity, and workmanship. Ensure proper restoration of work sites, including sidewalks, roadways, landscaping, and other affected areas. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fiber optic or utility construction. Previous experience leading construction crews preferred. Strong knowledge of underground and aerial fiber optic construction practices. Ability to read construction plans and utility drawings. Working knowledge of OSHA standards, traffic control requirements, and utility safety procedures. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required. Ability to operate construction equipment is a plus. Preferred Skills Strong leadership and team-building abilities. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to solve problems quickly in a fast-paced construction environment. Experience with directional drilling, trenching, boring, cable placement, and fiber installation. Knowledge of restoration standards and utility permitting requirements. Basic computer skills for completing reports and project documentation. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working on uneven terrain. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel to various job sites when required. Work Environment Outdoor construction sites. Exposure to heavy equipment, traffic, and changing weather conditions. Pay:

$28.00 - $38.00 per hour
