About Us We are seeking an experienced Carpentry Foreman to lead the construction of custom outdoor structures, including decks, pergolas, pavilions, privacy screens, gates, fences, outdoor kitchens, pool houses, and other architectural landscape features. This is a hands-on leadership position for an accomplished carpenter who can interpret detailed plans, manage a crew, coordinate with other trades, and deliver exceptional finish quality. Responsibilities Lead and supervise carpenters, apprentices, and laborers Review architectural plans, construction drawings, specifications, and project details Lay out and construct decks, pergolas, pavilions, arbors, fences, gates, privacy screens, and other custom outdoor structures Perform framing, structural carpentry, exterior trim, finish carpentry, and custom fabrication Work with natural wood, pressure-treated lumber, hardwoods, composite decking, PVC, and other premium exterior materials Coordinate footings, foundations, framing, electrical requirements, masonry interfaces, and finish details Assign daily tasks and ensure the crew remains productive and on schedule Coordinate with project managers, designers, clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades Verify dimensions, elevations, materials, and installation details before construction Anticipate field challenges and develop practical, design-sensitive solutions Maintain exceptional standards for fit, finish, alignment, and overall presentation Track labor, materials, tools, equipment, and project progress Train crew members in proper carpentry techniques, tool use, and safety procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite Protect clients' homes and properties throughout construction Complete daily reports and project documentation as required Communicate professionally with clients and represent the company well Qualifications At least [5] years of professional carpentry or construction experience Previous foreman, lead carpenter, or crew-lead experience strongly preferred Advanced knowledge of framing, exterior trim, finish carpentry, and structural construction Experience building custom decks, pergolas, pavilions, fences, gates, and related outdoor structures Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, details, measurements, and elevations Strong understanding of construction methods, fasteners, flashing, waterproofing, and exterior material performance Working knowledge of applicable building codes and permitting requirements Ability to calculate material quantities and plan work efficiently Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-end craftsmanship Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, lasers, saws, and construction equipment Ability to coordinate effectively with landscape, masonry, electrical, plumbing, and other trades Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable transportation Ability to lift at least 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Dependable attendance and a professional attitude OSHA, first aid, equipment, or other construction certifications are a plus Experience driving a truck and trailer is a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Consistent, full-time employment Overtime opportunities [Paid vacation and holidays] [Health, dental, and vision insurance] [Retirement plan with company match] [Performance or project-completion bonuses] Company-provided tools, equipment, clothing, and safety gear Training and professional-development opportunities Opportunities for advancement within a growing design-build company A professional, team-oriented work environment The opportunity to build unique, highly detailed outdoor projects using premium materials Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a skilled craftsperson and confident leader who takes pride in doing things correctly.
