Plumbing Foreman Pay:
$35-$40/hr Job Description This full-time Plumbing Foreman role leads small crews on commercial construction projects, focusing on the installation of plumbing, piping, and ductwork. You will independently manage projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality mechanical and plumbing installations while coordinating daily activities on site. The position centers on process pipefitting and mechanical systems for commercial new construction and renovation work. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a small crew on commercial construction projects, ensuring safe and efficient completion of plumbing and piping installations. Manage projects independently, including planning daily tasks, coordinating materials, and maintaining schedules. Install plumbing systems, process piping, and associated ductwork for commercial buildings in accordance with project specifications and codes. Perform and oversee HVAC-related process pipefitting and mechanical work as part of broader commercial construction projects. Ensure all piping and mechanical installations meet quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations. Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications to guide installation activities. Coordinate with other trades on site to maintain smooth workflow and resolve installation conflicts. Train, guide, and support crew members to improve skills, productivity, and adherence to safety practices. Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 100 pounds and working in varied positions throughout the day. Adapt to working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons, adjusting work methods to suit site and weather conditions. Essential Skills Previous commercial construction plumbing foreman experience, including leading and supervising small crews. Ideally 10+ years of hands-on plumbing experience in commercial environments. Proven experience installing piping systems, including process piping and mechanical piping, on commercial construction projects. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and execute mechanical and plumbing installations. Experience with HVAC-related process pipefitting and associated mechanical work. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds safely and repeatedly as required by the job. Comfort working in commercial construction environments, including new construction and renovations. Ability to work independently, manage projects, and make on-site decisions to keep work progressing efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a plumber, pipefitter, or mechanical installer in commercial construction settings. Background working with ductwork and fiberglass components as part of mechanical and plumbing systems. Familiarity with coordinating multiple tasks and trades on active construction sites. No formal education requirements; practical field experience and leadership capability are prioritized. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based out of a headquarters in Gap, Pennsylvania, with most job sites located within approximately one hour, including areas such as Lancaster, Elizabethtown, King of Prussia, and Fleetwood. The current need is at a living facility in West Chester, where you will work on commercial new construction and renovation projects. You can expect to report directly to job sites and work both indoors and outdoors throughout the year, in all weather conditions, depending on project needs. The environment is typical of commercial construction, with active job sites, mechanical and plumbing installations, and coordination among multiple trades. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of GAP, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
