PPE is provided on-site upon arrival. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable General Laborer specializing in recyclable materials handling to join our environmental services team. This role involves supporting the collection, sorting, and processing of recyclable waste in compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Responsibilities Operate material handling equipment such as loaders, Assist with the sorting and processing of recyclable waste at various facilities, ensuring materials are handled according to environmental compliance standards. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all tasks to prevent accidents and injuries. Support landfill management activities by managing solid waste disposal processes responsibly. Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing regular sanitation and debris removal tasks. Adhere to hazardous materials regulations when handling or disposing of potentially dangerous recyclables or waste. Assist with the operation of garbage trucks and other collection vehicles for outdoor waste collection routes. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while managing recyclable materials, ensuring proper material handling techniques are used. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals while maintaining a focus on environmental compliance. This role provides an essential contribution toward sustainable recycling efforts while offering opportunities for skill development in heavy equipment operation and environmental management.
