Read and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings. Cut, align, and apply wallpaper or other wallcoverings using hand tools and power tools with precision. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, patching, sanding, and priming to ensure smooth application. Use construction management techniques to coordinate with other trades such as drywall installation, painting, or electrical work for seamless project execution. Operate heavy equipment or scaffolding safely when working on large or elevated surfaces. Perform quality inspections throughout the installation process to maintain high standards of craftsmanship. Complete detailed documentation including installation logs and project reports. Assist in remodeling projects by contributing skills in trim carpentry, fixture installation, or restoration work as needed. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools like hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and measuring devices. Qualifications Proven experience in wallcovering installation or related construction fields such as drywall finishing, painting, or remodeling. Familiarity with construction estimating and project management practices is a plus. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of construction inspection standards to ensure quality control. Experience with Bluebeam software for digital markup and project documentation is desirable. Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Electrical experience or knowledge of electrical work is advantageous but not required. Strong understanding of building finishing techniques including plastering, caulking, stucco application, tile laying, masonry, flooring installation, and fixture setup. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as heavy equipment operation or working at heights on scaffolding or ladders.
