Job Description
M&M Excavating LLC - Canaan, CT M&M Excavating LLC is a busy, family-owned excavation company serving Northwest Connecticut, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, and surrounding areas. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Operator/Laborer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same. You'll work alongside experienced operators on residential and commercial excavation projects while operating equipment and assisting with all aspects of site work. Responsibilities Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently (based on experience). Perform general labor including hand digging, pipe installation, grading, and site cleanup. Assist with septic system installations and repairs. Install drainage systems, water lines, and utility trenches. Load and unload equipment and materials. Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Read grade stakes, laser levels, and construction plans (preferred). Work safely while maintaining a clean and organized job site. Represent M&M Excavating professionally with customers and coworkers. Qualifications Construction or excavation experience preferred. Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus. Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus). Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn. Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team. Ability to follow directions while also working independently. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience. Health insurance.
