Job Summary National Service Contractors, Inc. is hiring experienced Laborers. This position will support installation of ductile iron watermain, copper water services, valves, fittings, curb stops, meter boxes, and related utility appurtenances. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in underground utility construction and understands safe trench work, bedding, pipe installation, backfill, and working around existing utilities. Responsibilities
Install watermain, fittings, valves, and appurtenances.
Install copper water services, curb stops, curb stop boxes, meter boxes, and service connections.
Assist with trench excavation, bedding, pipe alignment, backfill, and compaction.
Work safely around existing underground utilities.
Support tie-ins, pressure testing, chlorination, flushing, and service reconnections.
Read basic plans, markings, and field layout.
Assist operators and foremen with daily production.
Maintain clean and safe work areas.
Follow OSHA, company, and project-specific safety requirements. Qualifications
Previous pipe laying or underground utility experience preferred.
Watermain, sewer, storm drain, or service line installation experience preferred.
Ability to work in trenches and around heavy equipment.
Ability to lift, carry, shovel, and perform physical work outdoors.
OSHA 10 preferred.
Must be reliable, safety-focused, and able to work as part of a crew. Physical Requirements
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift, carry, shovel, climb, bend, and work around trenches, traffic, pedestrians, and construction equipment.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and wear required PPE at all times. Schedule
Monday through Friday.
Day shift.
Overtime may be available based on project needs.
Weekend or off-hour work may be required only when approved or required by project conditions. Compensation This is a prevailing wage / Davis-Bacon project. Pay will be based on the applicable classification, experience, and actual work performed. How to Apply
