Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Operator/Laborer with Masonry Skills, where your hands-on expertise and enthusiasm will drive impactful projects forward! In this role, you will operate heavy machinery, assist with utility work, and contribute to masonry tasks that shape our communities. We're looking for energetic individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are safety-conscious, and eager to develop their skills in construction operations. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within the construction industry while making a tangible difference on-site. Expected hours of work are from 7am to 3pm onsite, and project site could be anywhere in Western/Central MA or Northern/Central CT. Responsibilities Operate heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks safely and efficiently to perform excavation, grading, paving, and utility installation tasks. Maintain and inspect machinery regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with construction utility work including utility locating, trenching, and installing underground services in accordance with federal safety regulations. Support masonry activities by preparing materials, mixing mortar or concrete, and executing foundational or structural masonry tasks. Drive commercial trucks as needed for transporting materials, equipment, or debris around the site or between locations. Perform routine maintenance on construction machinery following equipment safety procedures. Follow all safety regulations diligently to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Experience Prior experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and tankers is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of construction grading, excavation techniques, paving processes, and site preparation. Familiarity with construction utility work including utility locating and installation procedures. Understanding of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to maintain a safe job site. Hands-on experience in general construction site activities combined with masonry skills like bricklaying or concrete work is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is beneficial. Valid driver's license or experience with commercial truck driving is a plus. Pay:
$47.00 - $80.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
