This position involves the physical handling and management of storage boxes, bins, and totes, which can weigh between 24 lbs and over 100 lbs. The role requires frequent kneeling, squatting, reaching, and bending. Employees will be responsible for moving, arranging, lifting, and loading these items both manually and using hand carts.
Work Schedule
Normal work schedule is 5 days a week, 7:00am - 3:30pm - including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
Responsibilities
Process orders and manage boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
Lift, carry, and move boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks safely on uneven and concrete surfaces.
Read and write English to handle labels and process orders.
Use a proprietary computer system to track orders and locate boxes.
Operate a handheld scanner.
Climb and balance on ladders.
Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with handling aids.
Essential Functions
Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
Work independently to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including navigating inclines, stairs, and uneven surfaces.
Lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance for prolonged periods.
Load, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling aids.
Qualifications
Protective footwear meeting
ASTM F2413-11
standards with a slip-resistant rating of "Better or Best" is required.
