Job Description

Paving Laborer Position Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Paving Laborer. This person will assist in asphalt paving, roadway construction, site preparation and general laborer activities. This requires you to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks all day long.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in paving and patching and roadway construction projects. Prep ground for paving.  Operate and safely handle hand tools including shovels, rakes, brooms, and wheelbarrows. Use tools to spread, level, and rake materials on site. Load, move and distribute tools and materials around site.  Work with a team to complete jobs. Follow company policies, procedures and OSHA regulations.  Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Including work trucks. Qualifications: Previous paving, construction or laborer experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work e ectively with a team.  Strong work ethic and Dependable attendance. Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines. Valid Drivers license.
Physical Requirements:
Employee must be able to Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Use a wheelbarrow, rake, shovel and other hand tools to complete tasks. Lift, carry, push and pull heavy materials and equipment (20 - 75 pounds) Will need to be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, squat, reach above and below shoulder levels & waist levels.  Preform repetitive motions involving arms, hands legs and back. Work on uneven terrain around construction equipment
Work Environment:
Work is generally performed outside in all weather conditions including heat, rain, wind, and humidity until snow falls. Exposure to dust, asphalt fumes, noise, vibrations, and moving equipment Overtime and weekend work with extended hours during peak season is required.
