Outdoor Living Construction Crew Leader / Foreman Union III Outdoor Living is growing, and we're looking for a high-level construction professional to join our team. We're not looking for someone who simply wants another construction job. We're looking for someone who takes pride in what they build, knows how to lead a crew, can solve problems in the field, and wants to be part of a company doing some of the best outdoor living work in the market. Union III Outdoor Living is an established outdoor construction company specializing in custom outdoor living spaces, swimming pools, composite decks, patios, retaining walls, hardscapes, and complete backyard transformations. We're looking for someone who can look at a set of plans, understand the finished product, organize the work, lead a crew, and make it happen.
THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal candidate has strong experience in one or more of the following:
Composite deck construction
Swimming pool installation
Hardscape/paver installation
Retaining walls
Outdoor structures
Landscape construction
Excavation and site work
General residential construction You do not need to be an expert in every one of these areas.
If you're an exceptional deck builder, pool installer, hardscape foreman, or construction leader who wants to expand your skills, we want to talk to you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Outdoor Living Construction Crew Leader, you will take ownership of projects from layout through completion.
You will:
Read and understand construction plans and scaled drawings
Lay out projects accurately in the field
Coordinate daily jobsite activities
Lead and develop a crew of approximately 1-4 team members
Operate skid steers, compact equipment, and construction attachments
Coordinate materials and release orders for delivery
Track materials, production, and project progress
Maintain company trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment
Communicate professionally with homeowners
Identify problems before they become expensive problems
Make sound field decisions and keep projects moving
Train less-experienced team members
Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites
Ensure work meets Union III standards for quality, safety, craftsmanship, and professionalism Most importantly, you'll be expected to take ownership.
We don't want to micromanage our Crew Leaders. We want people who can be handed a project, understand the objective, develop a plan, communicate what they need, and execute.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
3+ years of construction, landscape construction, decking, pool installation, hardscape, or related field experience
Demonstrated ability to lead people and manage a jobsite
Ability to read plans and visualize construction details
Experience operating skid steers and/or similar construction equipment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to problem-solve independently
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Ability to work approximately 45-50 hours per week during the construction season
Professional attitude and communication skills
