Your hands-on work will involve a variety of physical activities, from assisting with concrete work to handling tools and materials, all while adhering to strict safety standards. Responsibilities Assist with the setup and dismantling of formwork and scaffolding, ensuring accurate alignment according to blueprints and schematics Support concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping operations using appropriate tools and safety procedures Help install rebar and metal studs, interpret technical drawings, and follow blueprint specifications for various construction elements Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and concrete mixers safely and efficiently on-site Perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving materials, equipment, or supplies to support ongoing construction activities Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Assist with masonry, stucco application, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and other finishing trades as needed Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience working on diverse construction projects Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, concrete cutting tools, and heavy equipment operation Knowledge of construction estimating principles and safety regulations within the construction workplace environment Experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete pouring/finishing, masonry work, carpentry (including trim carpentry), metal stud framing, plastering/stucco application, restoration work, roofing techniques, caulking procedures, flooring installation (including tile), welding basics, and concrete pumping methods Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks consistently while maintaining safety standards Ability to interpret technical schematics and technical drawings accurately for precise execution of tasks Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and adherence to all safety regulations at all times This role is paid in accordance with industry standards for construction labor positions.
