About us Belles Property Management is a locally owned and operated business since 2015. Specializing in excavation, concrete, wildlife management consultation & development, land clearing, design build services, utilities, and general contractor. We are looking for laborers to help grow our team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pipe/Utility Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in excavation and utility crews in the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utility systems including water, sewer, storm drainage, and related infrastructure. This position performs physical labor, assists equipment operators and pipe layers, maintains a safe work environment, and helps ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with excavation, trenching, backfilling, and grading operations. Help install water, sewer, storm drain, and other underground utility piping. Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment. Set up and maintain trench safety systems, including trench boxes and shoring. Assist pipe layers in aligning, joining, and securing pipe sections. Perform hand digging around existing utilities and structures. Compact soil and aggregate materials using hand-operated equipment. Install utility structures such as manholes, catch basins, valves, and hydrants. Maintain a clean and organized job site. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and excavation safety procedures. Participate in daily safety meetings and inspections. Direct traffic and assist with site control when required. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications Previous construction, excavation, or utility experience preferred but not required. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 pounds. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Valid driver's license preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic understanding of underground utility construction practices. Familiarity with trench safety and excavation procedures. Ability to read grade stakes and follow directions from supervisors. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to identify workplace hazards and follow safe work practices. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting. Ability to work in trenches, confined spaces, and uneven terrain. Ability to work extended hours and overtime as needed. Certifications (Preferred) OSHA 10-
