Overview We are seeking a dedicated Traveling Construction Worker/Skilled Laborer to join our dynamic team, supporting various construction projects across multiple locations. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse building sites, including commercial, and industrial, utilizing a broad skill set to contribute to high-quality construction outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction experience, a strong work ethic, and the flexibility to travel as needed. This position is fully paid and provides valuable hands-on experience in a variety of construction disciplines. Key responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings and schematics, executing building material installation, and adhering strictly to safety protocols. The role involves outdoor work in different environments, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Candidates will be instrumental in supporting project timelines through efficient execution of tasks such as framing, roofing, drywall installation, concrete finishing, and more. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction plans. Perform a wide range of skilled tasks including carpentry, trim carpentry, window installation, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, and drywall finishing. Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely and efficiently on various job sites. Install building materials such as stucco, caulking, masonry units, glass panels, cabinets, and roofing components. Conduct construction inspection and quality control checks to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications. Assist with concrete forming, finishing, plastering, welding, and masonry work as required. Support remodeling and restoration projects by applying specialized skills like fabrication and hardscape installation. Follow safety protocols diligently while working outdoors or in confined spaces. Collaborate with project managers and construction management teams to ensure project milestones are met. Maintain accurate documentation of work progress using digital tools such as Bluebeam or other construction management software. Experience Proven construction site experience with a comprehensive understanding of building construction processes. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and schematics for various trades including electrical systems and plumbing. Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely. Experience with window installation, roofing techniques, concrete forming & finishing, masonry work, and flooring installation. Familiarity with construction management practices including estimating procedures and adherence to safety protocols. Knowledge of building materials installation across diverse construction projects. Ability to adapt quickly to different environments while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members from diverse backgrounds. Valid certifications or training related to OSHA safety standards or specialized trades are preferred but not mandatory.
