Job Description

Construction Technician SERVPRO of Skagit & Island Counties Full-Time | $25-$35/hour DOE | In-Person Do you take pride in quality construction work and helping customers get their homes or businesses back to normal after property damage? SERVPRO of Skagit & Island Counties is looking for an experienced Construction Technician to join our rebuild team. This position performs repair and reconstruction work following fire, water, and other property damage, with a focus on quality workmanship, customer service, and keeping projects moving efficiently. We are looking for someone who is dependable, takes ownership of their work, communicates well with customers and teammates, and is comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
What You'll Do:
Construction & Rebuild Perform reconstruction and repair work including drywall, trim, paint, punch work, and other general construction services. Complete work according to project scopes, plans, specifications, local codes, and SERVPRO quality standards. Identify work that falls outside the contracted scope and communicate changes to the Project Manager. Pick up materials and coordinate material deliveries as needed. Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites. Project Support Coordinate project schedules and progress with the Project Manager. Assist with subcontractor and supplier coordination. Complete punch list items and assist with final customer walk-throughs. Document project progress through photos, job notes, and required electronic documentation. Assist with change orders and other project documentation as needed. Help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget. Customer Service Communicate professionally with customers throughout the reconstruction process. Provide project updates and communicate customer questions or concerns to the Project Manager. Help ensure completed work meets customer expectations and obtain required completion documentation. What We're Looking For Previous construction, remodeling, or restoration experience strongly preferred. Experience with drywall, trim, painting, finish work, and general residential construction. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage daily responsibilities with limited supervision. Strong customer service and communication skills. Basic math and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and other team members. High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Physical & Work Environment Requirements This position requires frequent walking, standing, driving, and performing hands-on construction work throughout the day. Work may include climbing ladders, lifting and carrying materials, and performing drywall, trim, painting, punch work, and other construction tasks. Employees may work in a variety of residential and commercial environments and may be exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust, and other typical construction jobsite conditions.
