Position Summary:
The Central Community Coordinator (CCC) is AKR's primary liaison to its central Arkansas partner sites, building strong working relationships with site-level stakeholders and ensuring students receive consistent tutoring services. This role oversees day-to-day site operations, communicates regularly with sites, and monitors program delivery. The CCC reports to the Program Director and works in close collaboration with the Central Volunteer Coordinator to provide seamless program delivery. This is a hybrid (on-site/remote) part-time position (approx. 20 hours/week) located in the central region. Preference will be given to those that are within a 30-minute drive from downtown North Little Rock.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for Site Coordinators for all assigned partner sites; Build and maintain strong working relationships with Site Coordinators, school staff, and site-level stakeholders; Coordinate and deliver site onboarding, including training, regular site visits, appreciation, and surveys; Manage student rosters at each site, including additions, withdrawals, and roster accuracy, in coordination with Site Coordinators, AKR staff, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) records; Communicate program updates, schedule changes, and policy information to Site Coordinators in a timely, clear manner; Troubleshoot and resolve site-level issues, escalating as needed; Distribute and track tutoring supplies and materials across sites, including delivery, restocking, and pickup; Maintain accurate, up-to-date site records in CRM, including affiliated site contacts, site placements, student engagements, assessment scores and media releases; Contribute as an enthusiastic advocate for tutor recruitment efforts and the AKR program; Coordinate and administer pre- and post-test assessments for after school sites; Support AKR's summer Literacy Playground program site operations including student rosters, assessments, book giveaways, summer party; Provide programmatic social media content, including photos, videos, and impact stories; Participate in continuing education opportunities, as appropriate; Participate in weekly team meetings, quarterly team retreats, special events, and other meetings identified; Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or demonstrated work experience may substitute for degree requirement Experience working in program coordination; training and relationship-building Available to work Monday-Friday during normal business hours, some evenings and weekends required Reliable transportation to travel regularly within Central Arkansas to partner sites Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, especially children, volunteers, and educators Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive Experience working with Salesforce or CRMs preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Access to stable internet connection Must be able to lift 30lbs Must complete background check, including child maltreatment Live within a 30 min. drive from downtown North Little Rock Transportation, a valid Arkansas driver's license and insurance verification required, with a minimum car liability coverage of $100,000.
Salary and Benefits:
This is a part-time position (approx. 20 hours/week). Starting pay begins at $20/hr., commensurate with skills and experience. Benefits include a 403b retirement plan. This position does not include health benefits. This position will have a ninety-day probation period.
